Our Process & Timeline
At Layer, we believe the process leading up to your wedding or big event should be as enjoyable as the day itself! We strive to take the stress out of planning by being transparent about what to expect when you book with us. Below you will find the basic timeline that we follow to ensure your cake is exactly what you envision.
We are currently excepting bookings for September 2023 through 2024
Please complete the Contact Form with the details of your event. With this information, we will be able to schedule the initial consultation to discuss availability and pricing. This is also the time to set up a cake tasting.
Once your date has been booked, the design process begins! We will dive into the details of your event so that we can craft the cake of your dreams. We will go over design, flavors, other dessert options, your event size, and the location of your venue.
In the four weeks leading up to your event, we will contact you to finalize the details of your cake including design, flavors, size, and invoice.
We personally deliver and set up all of our event cakes! The price of delivery is based upon distance from our Southern Pines kitchen.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your cake order and booking. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding or 1 week prior to your event.
Our designs are drawn in-house based upon your theme, colors, and arrangements. Inspiration photos can help us determine what you are envisioning for your day but we will not copy another baker's creations.
